What We Offer

Our catering assistants support kitchen teams with food preparation, plating, serving, and clean-down in healthcare environments. Each candidate must meet mandatory food safety/HACCP, allergen awareness, cleaning & sanitisation, infection prevention, fire safety, and manual handling requirements before activation. We look for friendly, team-oriented staff who follow hygiene protocols carefully and understand resident dignity during meal service — with modified diet and dementia awareness as strong preferences for nursing home placements.

The ideal catering assistant is approachable, punctual, and hygiene-focused — working well in teams and understanding resident care in a dining context.

Role Requirements

Food safety/HACCP and allergen awareness

Cleaning & sanitisation and infection prevention standards

Manual handling and fire safety certifications

Modified diet awareness and customer service skills preferred

Required for All Staff

CV with recent work history, valid photo ID, and proof of address

Right-to-work documentation where applicable

Two work references, starter form, and signed contract

Garda vetting completed before activation

Infection prevention & control, fire safety, and manual handling training
